Projecting Grief – exhibition & journalling workshop

Join us at Lelley Fields Crematorium for an inspiring photography exhibition sharing stories of grief, creativity, and hope – plus a drop‑in journalling workshop where you can explore your own reflections.

Projecting Grief tells the stories of people who have found comfort, distraction, or connection through creative expression after loss. The project is run by photographer Jo Ritchie and writer Laura McDonagh, who collaboratively deliver exhibitions, an online gallery, creative workshops, and other grief‑related community events.

You’ll be able to view a selection of moving photographic stories and take part in a gentle journalling workshop designed to help you begin expressing your own experiences — if you wish.

There’s no need for any writing experience. The workshop is completely inclusive, and everyone is welcome.

The exhibition is completely free to attend.

There is a small fee for the optional journalling workshop to cover materials.

Members of the Lelley Fields team will also be available throughout the day to chat about the services we offer.
